The float, designed by Artistic Entertainment Services, will stand 55 feet long and 22 feet high. It is decorated with over 320,000 natural elements, including seeds, bark, and flowers, to depict global travel scenes. These displays highlight the cruise line's reach across seven continents, featuring motifs from Alaska’s wilderness and Japan’s cherry blossoms to the architecture of the Sydney Opera House and the coastlines of Europe.
Princess Cruises Returns to the 138th Rose Parade
For the second year in a row, Princess Cruises will participate in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses on January 1, 2027. The cruise line plans to debut a destination-inspired floral float aligned with this year’s official event theme, "Welcome," as part of the annual New Year’s Day celebration in California.
Marie Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at Princess Cruises, noted that the float serves as a tribute to six decades of global voyages and the company's commitment to cultural exploration. Terry Madigan, president of the 2027 Pasadena Tournament of Roses, emphasized that the brand’s focus on connection mirrors the parade's broader goal of fostering community through shared traditions. The Rose Parade remains a significant media event, drawing approximately 800,000 spectators to Pasadena's Colorado Boulevard and reaching an audience of over 28 million television viewers in the United States alone.
