Accro Bioscience to Unveil Phase 1b UC Trial Results in Barcelona

Clinical-stage biotechnology firm Accro Bioscience will present key efficacy and safety data from its Phase 1b proof-of-concept study for AC-101 at the upcoming UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona. The findings focus on the oral selective RIPK2 inhibitor as a potential induction therapy for moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis.

The presentation, scheduled for October 17–20, will be led by Professor Ren Mao of The First Affiliated Hospital at Sun Yat-sen University. The data set, identified as AS-UEG-2026-03820, outlines the 12-week results from the trial, which marks a significant milestone for the company's proprietary drug discovery platform. AC-101 targets the NOD signaling pathway, where dysregulation of the RIPK2 protein is known to drive inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.

Following successful Phase I studies in healthy volunteers across Australia and China, the company has completed its proof-of-concept testing in Chinese patients. With the U.S. FDA having already cleared an Investigational New Drug application for a Phase II clinical trial, these results serve as a critical bridge toward further global development. Accro Bioscience continues to focus on molecular mechanisms of regulatory cell death to address unmet needs in immune-mediated diseases.
