Steven T. Boyd, executive vice president of business development at Liviniti, noted that the initiative seeks to bypass traditional medication hurdles, reducing side effects and eliminating the waste associated with ineffective treatments. Unlike static genetic tests that require manual review, the BlueGenes platform provides automated, actionable insights. BlueGenes CEO Nick Glimcher emphasized that this alignment of PBM capabilities and precision medicine is designed to make genetic-informed care a standard practice, ultimately lowering costs for plan sponsors while improving patient outcomes.
