Before his move to the Houston Methodist system, he served as Director of Critical Care at Sarah Bush Lincoln, where he refined emergency protocols and team performance standards.
Craig Minor Named to Inner Circle of Excellence for Nursing Innovation
Director of Emergency Services at Houston Methodist, Dr. Craig Minor has been inducted into the Inner Circle of Excellence. The recognition highlights his leadership in emergency nursing, particularly his current work preparing the operational framework for the health system’s high-tech facility scheduled to open in March 2025.

His clinical expertise is backed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice in healthcare systems leadership from Chamberlain University and board certifications in critical care and executive nursing. Beyond his administrative duties, Dr. Minor has contributed to national infusion standards through his research on blood sampling from midline catheters. This work has garnered international recognition, including a keynote address in Munich and the Illinois Nurses Foundation’s 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award. Looking ahead, he intends to integrate smart hospital solutions and advanced connectivity to build sustainable, tech-enabled nursing models.
