American Water Awards $30,000 in Grants to Illinois United Way Chapters
Eleven United Way organizations across Illinois have received a combined $30,000 in funding through the American Water Charitable Foundation. The grants, distributed in partnership with Illinois American Water, target essential services ranging from financial stability programs to basic health initiatives for residents throughout the utility provider's service territory.

Since 2022, the collaborative efforts of the foundation and the regional utility have funneled nearly $100,000 into Illinois-based social programs. Rebecca Losli, President of Illinois American Water, noted that the initiative focuses on addressing the specific, vital needs of local customers. Michelle Tucker, CEO of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, emphasized that this corporate support remains a cornerstone for sustaining critical safety-net services across the state.
