The launch follows the company's $40 million Series B funding round in September 2025, which prioritized embedding AI into the core of its infrastructure. Unlike many logistics tools that offer black-box solutions, Foundry provides building blocks that allow operators to retain control over business logic and system rules. Customers can choose between using over 20 pre-built templates, collaborating with Alvys engineers for custom setups, or building proprietary agents internally.
Alvys Launches Agentic AI Platform for Freight Management
Solana Beach-based Alvys has unveiled Foundry, an agentic AI platform integrated directly into its transportation management system. Designed to automate workflows like detention tracking and load building, the platform allows freight companies to deploy custom agents without relying on third-party software layers that isolate sensitive operational data.

CEO Nick Darman emphasized that the platform aims to eliminate the vendor lock-in common in legacy freight software. By sitting atop existing data streams—including native EDI connections and 120+ integrations—Foundry maintains security standards while avoiding the risks associated with external automation layers. The system includes Agent Shield, a governance layer that enforces human oversight for high-impact decisions, ensuring that automation remains traceable and aligned with specific company SOPs. Alvys reports that the platform is now accessible to fleets of all sizes, including owner-operators, marking a shift from its previous focus on larger trucking firms.
