Temu Joins Danish Startup Group to Bolster Local Innovation

Founded in 2007, the Danish Startup Group has spent nearly two decades connecting early-stage entrepreneurs through mentorship, workshops, and networking events. Under this new agreement, Temu will participate in these programs, offering its platform solutions to help Danish businesses reach broader European markets. Tomas Zhang Mathiesen, founder and CEO of the group, noted that the collaboration signals a commitment from a major global player to foster value for local creators.

Temu entered the Danish market in 2023 and subsequently opened its platform to local sellers. The company currently operates its Local Seller Programme across 35 markets, including a significant portion of Europe. Recent findings from Kantar Media suggest the platform’s presence has resonated with Nordic consumers, as over three-quarters of respondents credited Temu with increasing price transparency and competition in the region.
