Static Media Expands Lifestyle Portfolio with Mom.com Acquisition

Indianapolis-based digital publisher Static Media has acquired Mom.com from Bright Mountain Media, marking the company’s first venture exclusively focused on parenting. The move integrates the long-standing resource into a sprawling network that now encompasses 33 brands, further cementing Static Media’s influence across the digital lifestyle vertical.

Static Media Expands Lifestyle Portfolio with Mom.com Acquisition

Mom.com brings a established audience to the fold, offering content that ranges from gear reviews and parenting news to expert guidance for expectant and current parents. For Static Media, the addition serves as a strategic bridge between its existing lifestyle properties—including The List, Glam, and Health Digest—and a new, highly engaged demographic. The company currently reports a combined reach of over 220 million monthly visits across its entire portfolio.

Reggie Renner, CEO and co-founder of Static Media, described the acquisition as a way to carve out a distinct lane within the company’s broader lifestyle strategy. By folding Mom.com into its virtual-first operation, which already employs more than 200 staff members, Static Media aims to scale the brand's reach while maintaining the editorial trust its readers expect. This purchase follows a period of aggressive growth for the publisher, which recently added Engadget to its list of prominent titles.
