The bank's performance was bolstered by operating income of Ps.603.8 billion after accounting for personnel and general administrative expenses. While total financing grew by 3% quarter-over-quarter to reach Ps.11.69 trillion, the bank saw a 1% dip in total deposits, which settled at Ps.14.74 trillion by June 30. Management noted that excluding Ps.21.9 billion in restructuring costs, the net income would have reached Ps.221 billion, pushing the annualized return on equity to 14.3%.

Banco Macro posted a net income of Ps.206.8 billion for the second quarter of 2026, marking a 39% increase over the previous quarter. The Buenos Aires-based lender maintained strong solvency ratios despite inflationary pressures, closing the period with a 28% capital adequacy ratio under Basel III standards.

Asset quality remains a focus for the institution, with the non-performing loan ratio standing at 6.25% and a coverage ratio of 95.39%. Liquidity levels stayed robust, with liquid assets covering 74% of total deposits. Banco Macro currently operates a network of 402 branches, supporting a client base of 6.36 million retail customers and over 228,780 corporate entities across Argentina.
