Staypineapple Expands International Dog Day Into Full Week of Giving

Rather than limiting the celebration to a single day, boutique hotel brand Staypineapple has announced a weeklong initiative dubbed Bark Week. From August 24 through August 30, 2026, the company will donate all collected pet fees to Seattle Humane to bolster local animal welfare and adoption efforts.

The campaign serves as an extension of the brand's long-standing partnership with the shelter. Beyond financial contributions, Staypineapple is leveraging its Seattle locations—The Maxwell Hotel, Hotel FIVE, Watertown Hotel, and University Inn—as collection hubs for unopened pet food and treats. Guests and locals who contribute to these drives will receive a branded pineapple dog toy from Toby & Linus while supplies last. Staff members are also scheduled to volunteer at the Seattle Humane Pet Food Bank, assisting with order fulfillment for community members in need.

The week culminates on August 29 with an event at The Maxwell Hotel featuring pet-themed photography, live portrait sessions with artist Dozfy, and interactive art by Sie-ce. Throughout the period, the company plans to launch its Paws on Payroll initiative, which showcases the resident dogs that greet guests at their properties. Strategic partners for the week include the pet sound therapy app Zoundz and the emergency veterinary provider VEG ER for Pets, both of which support the brand’s mission to provide specialized care for animal travelers.
