The funding round includes participation from US Innovative Technology Fund, Riot Ventures, and Jane Street, alongside new investors Atreides Management and AMD Ventures. Oxide’s core product, a rack-scale integrated system, mimics the architectural agility of hyperscale cloud providers but allows organizations to maintain full ownership of their hardware and software environment. This independence has become a priority for sectors like aerospace, national laboratories, and financial services, where data sovereignty and performance control are critical.
CEO Steve Tuck noted that the company has struggled to keep pace with requests, as current demand consistently outstrips production capacity. The arrival of agentic AI has further accelerated this pressure, forcing enterprises to seek systems capable of handling complex, data-intensive workloads that were previously limited to public cloud giants. By co-designing hardware and open-source software, Oxide positions its systems as an alternative to the limitations of standard off-the-shelf infrastructure.
