Russian forces breach Kostiantynivka as battlefield lines fracture

The tactical situation in Kostiantynivka is deteriorating as Russian forces push across the Kryvyi Torets river. According to frontline officers, the city is effectively split, with defenders fighting to hold the eastern bank after losing ground in the southwest. The presence of the 156th Mechanised Brigade has become a focal point of concern; field reports suggest that inexperienced, newly mobilized personnel are struggling to hold sectors against seasoned Russian advances.

Commanders note that the rate of Russian infiltration currently outpaces defensive attrition, with estimates of enemy combatants inside city limits ranging from 100 to 250. While local commanders maintain that the city remains salvageable, military analyst Kostyantyn Mashovets describes the prospects as highly unfavorable. The plant is vital to the Russian war effort, producing Kometa satellite antennas used in Shahed drones, Iskander missiles, and guided aerial bombs.
