Most ergonomic seating for taller or heavier individuals relies on widening existing frames, a process that often leaves thighs unsupported and recline mechanisms prone to swaying. The Maxis series addresses these structural failures through a 52cm deep seat designed to eliminate pressure on the front edge and a backrest contoured to 430mm at the shoulders. The frame, BIFMA-certified for 181 kg (399 lb), rests on a die-cast aluminum alloy base to ensure the chair remains steady during a five-stage recline that spans 105 to 160 degrees.
LiberNovo Launches Maxis Ergonomic Series for Big & Tall Users
Rather than simply stretching standard dimensions to fit larger frames, LiberNovo’s new Maxis series is engineered from the ground up to support heavier builds. Debuting today in North America and Europe, the lineup prioritizes structural stability and specific anatomical support for users weighing up to 181 kilograms.

The series launches in three distinct tiers, ranging from the manual US$809 entry model to the US$1,239 Airflow version, which incorporates active seat ventilation. The mid-tier Electric configuration introduces powered lumbar support and OmniStretch Spinal Decompression. Simultaneously, LiberNovo has expanded its standard Omni line with the SE and Pro models, which offer adjustable seat depths of 45 cm or 48 cm. All new products are currently available through the company’s website, with promotional pricing in effect through July 31.
