GoMo Health and Dentistry. One Integrate Oral Screenings into Chronic Care

Medicaid members managing diabetes will now receive AI-powered dental screenings integrated directly into their existing digital health workflows. A new partnership between GoMo Health and Dentistry. One aims to bridge the long-standing gap between oral health and systemic medical care by embedding virtual diagnostic tools into routine patient engagement platforms.

The collaboration utilizes Dentistry. One’s SmileScan technology, an AI-driven tool capable of detecting early signs of gum disease, tartar buildup, and alignment issues. By incorporating these screenings into GoMo Health’s evidence-based engagement programs, the companies seek to treat oral hygiene as a core component of whole-person health rather than a siloed medical service. Following the initial rollout for diabetes patients, the program will expand to include maternal health and other chronic disease populations.

Bob Gold, founder of GoMo Health, noted that the industry has historically separated care above and below the shoulders, a habit that often obscures the link between oral conditions and systemic disease. The platform uses proprietary behavioral science to guide patients from screening results toward actionable steps, such as virtual consultations or local dental appointments. Brant Herman, CEO of Dentistry. One, emphasized that integrating virtual care into established patient relationships is essential for improving clinical outcomes. The partnership leverages GoMo Health’s reach across various health plans and Dentistry. One’s existing network of Medicaid managed care organizations and community health centers to scale the model.
