The acquisition centers on enhancing Lennox’s service capabilities by leveraging Heat Controller’s reputation for product availability and customer service. By bringing these brands under its corporate umbrella, Lennox intends to deepen its penetration of the North American market while providing partners with a more diverse range of equipment options.
Lennox to Acquire Heat Controller to Bolster Distributor Network
Lennox International has reached a definitive agreement to acquire HVAC equipment supplier Heat Controller, a move aimed at expanding the company’s reach among small and mid-size distributors across North America. The deal integrates the established Comfort-Aire and Century brands into the Dallas-based manufacturer’s existing portfolio.

Lennox Chief Executive Officer Alok Maskara noted that the addition of the Heat Controller team will provide greater flexibility in supporting distributor relationships. Philip Windham, CEO of Heat Controller, described the transition as a chance to scale operations while maintaining the service standards that define his company’s current market presence. The transaction is slated to close later this year, pending customary regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions.
