LONGi Secures Climate Lighthouse Award for Zero-Carbon Heating Breakthrough

During Shanghai Climate Week, LONGi Green Energy Technology was named an outstanding case in the 2026 Climate Lighthouse initiative. The company earned the distinction for its battery manufacturing project, which replaces external heat sourcing with a self-balancing thermal system designed for high-precision, low-carbon industrial environments.

The award-winning system addresses the intensive heating requirements of winter battery production, where maintaining strict temperature and humidity in cleanrooms is essential. By integrating waste heat recovery with power system coupling, LONGi transitioned its manufacturing sites—including the Weibei, Gaoling, and Tongchuan plants—away from external energy dependence. This technical model provides a scalable blueprint for facilities that require high levels of environmental control while minimizing carbon output.

This recognition marks a consecutive success for the firm, which received a manufacturing model award in 2025 for its Jiaxing base. Dr. Xie Tian, General Manager of LONGi’s Strategic Management Center, attributed the firm's progress to a governance structure centered on the Board of Directors. Beyond internal operations, LONGi is shifting its role from a module supplier to a provider of integrated energy solutions, utilizing a tripartite system of solar, energy storage, and hydrogen to decarbonize value chains. The company continues to export these management methodologies to its suppliers to lower collective carbon costs across the industry.
