Since the 2023 update to USP <797>, the professionals tasked with signing off on sterile compounding competency have faced mounting pressure. While the technicians they monitor undergo rigorous, scheduled testing, the evaluators themselves have historically lacked a dedicated forum to calibrate their judgment. This free, one-day workshop, hosted by Pharmacy Stars, transitions from theory to practice by putting participants inside four fully functioning cleanrooms.
Pharmacy Evaluators Head to Nashville for Hands-On USP Compliance Training
On June 25, 2026, 64 qualified evaluators will gather in Nashville for the inaugural Compounding360 Studio Sessions. Led by Jocelyn Freimuth and her team from Camino Compass, the workshop aims to standardize the assessment of sterile compounding personnel, addressing a critical oversight in current industry training cycles.

Participants will rotate through specialized stations covering garbing, aseptic technique, surface sampling, and the handling of hazardous chemotherapy agents. By mirroring the high-stakes environment of a clinical pharmacy, the program forces attendees to apply consistent regulatory standards in real-time. According to Freimuth, the goal is to shift the focus from merely training compounders to refining the expertise of those who oversee them, ultimately ensuring more uniform patient safety outcomes. The sessions offer up to eight continuing education credits for pharmacists, technicians, and administrators, with all available spots currently filled.
