The company selected the name Mahalo ABA to signal a commitment to local integration, emphasizing humility and partnership over a standard corporate rollout. CEO Yakov Halberstam noted that the firm intends to prioritize long-term relationship building with island families rather than a purely transactional healthcare model.
Applied ABC Expands Behavioral Health Services to Hawaii
Applied ABC has launched a dedicated behavioral health division in Hawaii under the name Mahalo ABA, marking the mainland provider's formal entry into the Pacific market. The expansion brings clinician-led autism therapy to families and schools across Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island, Kauai, Molokai, and Lanai.

Services include home and school-based behavioral support alongside a centralized hub on Oahu for clinical training and therapy. Unlike firms driven primarily by private equity, Applied ABC maintains a focus on its background in education and hands-on clinical leadership. The organization is currently accepting new referrals and actively recruiting therapists to staff its island-wide operations.
