Pizza Pilgrims

Since it’s inception in the summer of 2011, Pizza Pilgrims has gone from strength to strength on London’s high-octane pizza scene.

Originally the brainchild of passionate pizza lovers Thom and James Elliot, the concept began in a pub in Shepherd’s Bush during the summer of 2011. The pair subsequently embarked on a trip to collect the Piaggio Ape van that would house a wood fired oven and become the brother’s first mobile pizzeria.

The journey home from Naples took in the very best of Italy’s pizza locations and formed the basis of their ‘pizza pilgrimage’; an exercise that has gone some way to defining the unique take on their Neapolitan inspired offering.

The mobile pizzeria was an instant success and provided the perfect platform for the company’s growth into their first permanent site in Dean St, Soho in 2013. Five years on and Pizza Pilgrims is one of the UK’s hottest pizzeria chains, with 8 permanent sites and more set to follow in 2018.

Pizza Pilgrims’ menu features a variety of 10 set pizzas and a monthly guest pizza, all of which showcase their 48-hour dough and the highest quality Neapolitan ingredients. Each pizza is prepared in a Gozney Elite – Napoli 1250 oven, providing their pizzaiolos with the very best in high temperature stone cooking.
